Well, let’s be honest, every time you see the “artic and spun-around car on the hard shoulder” scenario, the truck is eastern European. We don’t do it when we are driving abroad so there must be some truth in the old adage “no smoke without fire”.
And being Polish doesn’t make him guilty.
Only the facts after the event will tell. The trouble is that this sort of event will give the anti-trucker fraternity more ammunition to use against us all, not only foreign drivers so we shoud not give them anything to use against us. Best thing to do is wait for the verdict then we can judge.

Well, let’s be honest, every time you see the “artic and spun-around car on the hard shoulder” scenario, the truck is eastern European. We don’t do it when we are driving abroad so there must be some truth in the old adage “no smoke without fire”.
We didn’t do it abroad but then while we were abroad we were not dealing with British car drivers who seem content to bowl along in a trucks blind spot without a care in the world. Foreign car drivers generally get past you a bit lively and don’t dither about at the side of you.
Clearly a tragedy for all concerned. Am I right on thinking it happened in the very small hours?
It’s my opinion these accidents are and will become more common. How many of us work for numpties who believe after a 9 hours legal minimum break we’re fit to work another 15 hour shift and if we not we’ll be replaced by someone who is!
I don’t mean to imply the driver in this case nodded off.

Most of the truckers in this Highest speed you 've had a truck at - THE UK PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS FORUM (INTERACTIVE) - Trucknet UK thread, don’t need outside ammunition, they can shoot themselves on a public forum without any help at all.
My thoughts go out to the relatives & friends of the 2 deceased. How tragic after such a great day for England yesterday.

Or the driver sneezed, the coach WAS overhanging the carriageway, a tyre blew out, another vehicle passed him too closely, his steering failed or one of a thousand other things could have happened! I can’t believe that anybody on this forum would default to blaming the lorry driver who cannot defend himself!

I haven’t read all the way through whilst replying to this. I’m betting myself, someone has already ripped into this poor soul. Especially when they see a foreign name. I’ts sad…Very sad. 
Is it just my perception, or are there more accidents involving trucks occuring lately?
I think these average speed camera spots are the cause of these crashes!! Royal Mail,Parcel Carriers( you know who you are!!) and foreigners who choose to ignore the cameras altogether!!
As for the M11 dual bit wasn’t it!! Enough said really!! Needs upgrading don’t you think like when it was originally constructed!! Not fit for the traffic levels of today!!
A14 should be a 3lane motorway now FFS!! Don’t they get enough revenue from motorists to do all this?
