So I’m ambling down the M6 this morning, and as usual, the Irish boys from both sides of the border are giving it large, and it set me thinking about their reg plates. (I was bored.)
We all know that mainland Britain’s are made up of regional identifiers to signify where the vehicle was registered originally, (ie NA = Newcastle, YJ = Leeds etc etc.) and to a certain degree, so are the Southern Irish boys.
But what about the North? How does one know that a plate with say ABC 1234, comes from a certain area or is it just pot luck?
(I really need to get out more… )
