i can see why you would be annoyed but it does seem your company priced them selves out of the job.
as regards to working for £7.50 instead of £10-11 everything costs less up here so we get that little bit more for our money - that is all im saying
But what and where?
House prices seem to be similar, Macdonalds, and other eating out is national tariff, supermarket shopping is the same as everywhere else, utility bills are the same rip-off they are down here, petrol is just as dear, etc etc.
What do you get more for your money of up north exactly? - I never found out whilst I was up there you see…
Ex Haulier:
Yeah, its lovely up north. That’s why there are only 15 kids in the class, because its so good everybody has voted with there feet and cleared off.
Nope , try again, the village is small but popular that’s why they are building 30 more houses, , and only 3-4 houses up for sale or rent,
D for effort …

Your obviously a very clever man having reinterpreted the basic rules of economics. You should of had Alistair Campbell s job.
House prices seem to be similar,
Hmm I just posted that a house a lot bigger than you the one linked to- goes around here for @£90k and doesn’t need a spiked side gate either
this argument will never end
you love your smog and stress and overpriced everything
we love our decent fish and chips and real ale and clean air
everybody is proud of their own area it’s only natural, but obviously we are better
know your place.
RIZZO101:
Write to your MP and demand cabotage rules be applied to English truckers in England for English to protect the English against the English or would you be scared of sounding silly
You may mock. Wait till UKIP make a clean sweep in the south while you all vote for the stupid Miiliband brother, it may just come to pass.

Or you could accept that we pay less for our housing (and my beer
and we get the real stuff , not that gassy chemical laden crap
) and get more for our money, as well as a far better lifestyle,
it may not suit your argument but the fact is we can get a lot more up here for less money, so naturally wages are lower - and that my friend IS a basic lesson in economics 101
I’m not a Londoner, have not lived in London since I was 6, and rarely work there, because it’s usually not worth the commute.
Smog therefore is irrelevant. I live up the top of a hill overlooking a valley.
Cost of living seems pretty much the same everywhere I go, although I did notice things a few pence cheaper in Wales last time I was in that neck of the woods.
Walk into a yorkie chippy though, and it’s like 'Kin Chips" like something out of Viz, and you’ll get given what looks like wood shavings swept off the floor in some places.
I get the impression we sassanachs ain’t much liked up where the ground is as hard as the population…
A far better lifestyle, oh that’s funny. I’ve been to Bradford and Rochdale mate, it ain’t clever. At least your wife and daughter won’t go hungry, they will know what to do to get a free kebab.

It’s cheaper because it’s so good is not 101 it’s 99.

I have been to Deptford, Tower Hamlets, Brixton, St Pauls , Newham, Crayford, Bemington Heath, The Friary, Erith, Non of which who would say are tourist attractions
they are not that clever either, but all down South and can name plenty more if you wish- want to keep going are have you made an arse of yourself enough yet?
I’m loving this thread just for the comedy value
Sorry but you can keep London, and the south. Up here for 150k I got a four bed house which overlooks the peak park, is less than a five minute walk away from the country side, is a 30 minute train ride from Manchester city center and gives me at least 3 snow days every year.
Just fishing the troll, cos I am bored - good news is the fish is biting
■■■■ me you’d get less ■■■■■■■■ in a ■■■■■■■ hair salon, I live on the south coast my 1 bed flat cost me the same amount as some off the 3 bedroom houses up north posted on page 2 or 3, I am looking at 3 beds in the region off £210,000 around here so I could not afford to work for £7.50 an hour yet if I lived up north where said same house would cost me £130-140,000 then £7.50 would be sufficient. It’s basic bloody economics surely what does It really matter what northerners are paid n what southerners are paid we all do the same bloody job drive the same bloody trucks and do the same bloody ■■■■■ day in day out as long as we can all afford to live under shelter why’s there a need to all get your hand bags out on each other ■■■■ me.

I say it was great having 15 kids in a class when the maximum size can be 33. My wife being a teacher agrees, much easier to provide quality teaching and help those kids who need a little bit more time in a smaller class. In single stream primary school if each class size was only 15 that’s still 105 kids in a school. Hardly a small school role.
Oh and I live further north than Rikki and your right it’s lovely up here.

This house was sold recently 100 yards from where I live for £86K

The view from the front garden is this

If you cant see the difference in price and quality between that and this that you uploaded priced at £115K, then this discussion is never going to go anywhere (as if it was anyway
)

So yes Winseer, houses are cheaper, an equivilent to what you posted around here would be about £50K
A lot more for your money oop north, and cheaper by far
It doesn’t matter where you are from, if you need to travel to work to feed your family and have a basic standard of living, you will work for whatever the going rate is. Tell me, that if you were like the East Europeans, on 30 quid a week in East ■■■■■■■ and you were offered 150 a week in England, you wouldn’t do it, we are all trying to earn a living, don’t blame the guy steering the truck, blame the spineless ■■■■■■■■ we choose to govern us.

Wow, your right. It looks so much better now they have grassed over the slag heaps.
Pitiful
now you have been shown the truth that’s all you can come up with?
Mumsnet has better trolls than you
(not a personal attack just a comment on your ability to troll)
I suggest next time you try , do it on a subject where a bit of an effort is needed to prove you wrong… this is just too easy
Give it up now before you look even more foolish, ,
1/10 - must try harder
