North Wales Haulage company's

I also remember these aswell as a kid.

I also heard that Hotpoint has opened again a few months back with some polish staff but only temporary.

Didn’t Morgan Freight pull for them aswell?

hiya,
Years since i used the A5 and used to see a lot of Hotpoint motors when i did a regular run to Flint in the late 60s were they in-house vehicles or contract vehicles and are they still running??.
thanks harry long retired.

I remember them as a Kid… Used to see the all day and night long up and down… Brown and cream IRC DAFS

Didn’t realise they were based in Wrexham… Someone said they had a few mixers aswell and were about to or had swapped a large part of the fleet to Hinos.

That’s correct they had a couple of hinos and a couple of mixers too.

They finished about 2 years ago when the economic downturn hit.

I can see why they leave them boards in Mike, not much room for error driving on or off that pit. Nice pics, thanks Paul.

One of the firms I worked at was based in an old railway shed and there was a pit like that at the bottom of the building that we used for steam cleaning. One of the drivers with a six wheel AEC used to drive straight over unwatched and never missed but another driver (?) who saw this wanted to put his car over and tried the same. A Vauxhall Viva was not as wide as the AEC and went straight in.
