Hi Trevor they had a yard back on the corner of the road back towards Hope, opposite the garden centre, used to be on the left as you went onto the ind est were Edge are now, before that Brian Hughes had a yard near his home/farm off to the right in the dip at the top of Ryden Hill on the same road, was mid 70s…used to run a lot of MANs wasn’t the dealer at gresford?

Hello steelboy , yes i remember now opposite gardencentre , that MAN dealer in Gresford , again i cannot remember there name but do you remember all those MANs they supplied to Bodfari , whist Hannaby up by Ffrith was one of the first customers .
Foulkes from Penyfford , wernt they bought out by some Scottish company ? I believe there tippers used to haul sand out of Stoddards at Llanarmon along with H Davies . And who were the people from Rhydymwyn who had ERF and Fodens on bulk tanker work , they would be in Stoddards as well . thank you Trevor
Trevor
MAN dealer was next to Crumps body builders , can remember their name either, yes bod fair had some fleet! remember those cut down DAF tipper bodies Willy bros had for the bolders at sea forth dock.?
I used to work with Russ Foulkes at Quicks before he drove for his old man, his brother had a 4 wheel AEC on the sand, they had the bulk of the work out of shotton paper, and WH Malcolm bought them to get the work! Russ is a transport manager for them now I think! Pete is other brother used to work in the family firm also nice lads had a smart fleet.
