That has to be Knighton market where that was taken . Caddys also had adriver based at Llandrindod . regards Keith
I used to stay in digs on Gnoll Park Road,Neath in the 70s,Mrs Potts was her name. There was very often a driver from around Wrexham area who stayed there who worked for a printing firm or summat similar and he had an AEC tilt cab 6-legger flat with the AV760 engine,a cancelled export order. I only remember it was a dark blue colour and went like sh*t off a shovel.
Any of you Nth Wales lads recall the firm?
Chris

Jim from JD Thomas used to pull for Gwynedd Shipping in the 90’s with a white SK merc, maybe a 2540 or similar i think. Hell of a nice bloke who always took time to talk to me as a kid. Used to then see him down the road for Roland Young when i first started. Sadly passed away in the said Roland Young truck whilst parked up overnight one night. Proper gentlemen.

Hi Keith,
I drove for Brisbanes for about 12 months and hauled out of Strinds and Nash quarries. When there wasn’t much work on we were sent to the tyre factory to haul srap tyres up to a tip at Heyope about 4 miles out of Knighton. It was a job I will never forget,hand-balling tyres including lorry tyres onto a tipper which were full of dirty water.
Cheers Dave.
