I think they’re DFDS now but anyway are they ok ? Taking the car and van over the water in August and they priced it at £78.00 as opposed to £ 195.00 that P&O wanted so big difference must admit have always been a P&O man till now.
I’ve had no problems with them, they have just started dover Calais with LD lines.
If you’re heading off down Belgium way, try Transeuropa out of Ramsgate, they’re pretty competitive

Gonna be venturing along the North coast somewhere probably Normandy.

Take it you are booking using the code CS12? If so, be aware that it expires today. Not my favourite choice of crosssing, but at that price for car & caravan you can’t knock it.
As someone else mentioned, DFDS have joined forces with LD Lines to operate Dover/Calais to fill the void left by the demise of Seafrance, you can also use the code on this route and get it for the same price.

No not using a code just booking through the caravan club and they get good discount on DFDS, and have not looked into LD Dover to Calais properly yet because not sure what discount i can get.
If you book direct using that code, you get free ammendments until 30th June. Caravan club charge £20 a time to ammend. Also caravan club usually only offer that price when DFDS have the offers on, so you may find the price jumps up again tomorrow.

And the rest, we use it all the time and the best lately is 2h 27min, the worst being 4h 50min!
The staff have told us the boats have been slower across the channel over the last year or so to try and save on fuel.
I’ve noticed a few mins, but never that long!
have got a full 3 hour break on the car deck more than once latley thats just the sailing let alone the wait at the port
Norfolk Line Dover - Dunkirk - good boat - always cheapest fare than others! quite popular for Polish users
in French side, French ticket booth workers can speak some basic Polish - quite well!
In couples of weeks ago - Saturday I missed a ferry which was booked for 8pm - DFDS Dunkerque to Dover so I thought there will be next one is 10pm I arrived at ferry booth about 9:30pm, a ticket booth guy told me will be next one - Sunday 5am! - surprise no ferry later than 8:00pm on Saturday so he said it was unlucky so i turn around back to A16 corrider and toward to Calais.
I went into P&O Ticket office so a lady told me there will be next ferry - 11:30pm and cost will be £111 for a one way to Dover! I ask her which is cheapest fare latest, she told 12:30am will be £33 - one way! - I booked it then - it was really insane - a hour different - huge different price! some stupid people went for it! rather to wait for few hours to save some penny!
Surprise We board into new ferry - Spirit of Britain - not bad ferry but there was already some dirts on there! also as usual some spotty teenagers work in restaurant and dont have any clues to deal with customers!
usually I never buy anything in restaurant but this time I was hungry and have no choice! know what - few hours later when I arrived at home I got some dodgy tummy upset

P&O - there are not much difference, one Saturday night took me 2hrs 15 mins!
It is a good crossing, cheap as well, we use it when we race in France and they also are very competitive with motor homes/ campervan
