Anyone working for any Nordic companies and what kind of experiences?
Or where to find a reliable list of the said companies?
Thanks in advance.
Forgive my ignorance, but do you mean companies in Scandinavia or is Nordic a uk group.
You don’t know the difference between Scandinavian and Nordic?
I am looking for Nordic (and Scandinavian) companies.

You might be better enrolling at charm school before you go looking for a job

Awesome. Some homework, thanks.
Might I suggest a Dartmoor or a Shetland pony , they are a little closer to the ground
The boys tend to get a bit tetchy if prodded in the flanks
Haha, funny.
Need to look into future too. Plan ahead, you know.
aye , fair dinkum .
I’m dissapointed at your rudeness. As Brit who is living in Lappland i was merely asking for clarification as to whether you were looking for companies based in the UK driving north or were looking to move up here.As i have tried to help many people who wanted info about living\working in Northern Scandinavia.
how long is a bit of string? do you want to work direct for a company? do you want to sub contract? containers/ fridges and tilts?
maybe pause for 30 seconds and think what your asking before just typing? a basic search will provide most of the info your after.
now dfds used to be very good to work for mix of all 3 tilts/containers/fridges - subbys paid on a p per mile.

I apologise, if I appeared that way. Wasn’t intention as I thought you were being funny.

I am looking for companies in general. I keep eye on trucks and company names on road and check their backrounds later. Then I thought drivers here have first hand info and I always like to hear other’s experiences.
But as it looks like, my question was too direct and everyone seem to have taken wrong end of the stick.
I Think you will find companies who run to Scandinavia from the UK few and far between.Any loads which are destined for the ‘‘Nordic’’ lands,i.e.Scandinavia will either be unaccompanied trailers or will be done by EE trucks purely due to costs. The only Uk trucks you will see here will be ‘specialised’ transport,I.E. Entertainment tours, heavy haulage and the car transports in the Winter for the testing in Jokkmokk and Rovaniemi.
As a Finn you may have a working knowledge of the S\DK\N languages so you could look on their transport sites.

not the wrong end but there is a whole heap of different answers hopefully you have some of them now.

I have spotted few companies here in the uk. But managed to memorise only one name as I was driving behind the truck. Rest of them have been on laybys or opposite side of the road but haven’t been able to catch the name because I’ve been on the move myself.
And without the full name it’s like trying to find a needle in the haystack. Whether it’s search engine or their own website, I really don’t know, but it can be difficult to find any info. That’s why I thought asking here was a good idea due to massive number of drivers. I cannot ask any more specific because all info is good.
Which side of Lappland are you?

Sounds good to me.
Although I miss snow, I don’t think I could put up with long and dark winters. It is enough long and dark winters in Helsinki, where I am looking for relocating in the future.
So having a job somewhere there would be ideal.
