GBPub:
Had you been folowwing the posts of the OP, you will see that he is an idiot/wind up merchant or whatever else you want to call him, hence why it has turned out as it is.
Well its quite clear to me who the idiot is on this thread mate
OP asked an important question about the company
And you lot come on with sarcastic little comments
Nice to see certain forum member who think they know it all and in reality know [zb] all
When someone posts a question that they dont have the answer to they get the old ■■■ hole and make a story up to say it a stupid question coz there to thick and big headed to answer it
If you know nothing about Nolands then keep ya mouth shut and dont bother posting on this thread
limeyphil:
Nolans don’t employ anyone from western europe.
so don’t worry about doing a CV. it will be pointless.
I think they will just employ local lads now what with the recession and everything
But I have heard a lot about you LP and been dieing to meat you you so
So welcome to the national raving loony party
what planet do you come from they have about 300 trucks and they employ nearly 300 eastern europeans because they are cheaper than the locals, i speak from personal experience, we were paid £100 per day after tax so £700 a week to run all hours but every day in the truck was paid even if sat on the beach waiting to load oranges in valencia, the poles were paid 100 euros a day (when the exchange was £1 to E1.50 so about £70) but only when driving, so weekends and waiting weren’t paid and most earnt £350 a week so seamus was saving £35,000 per week for every 100 drivers, now thats how to make money
nolans definetly do employ people from western europe, there just isnt many of them,
im not sure if i posted this before, but i asked an irish nolans driver did he drive from england with the load, he said no “theres enough of the taliban to do that” so im assuming he has no interest in loading in england for ireland,
maybe the eastern europeans dont mind being sent out for weeks to spain etc,
one of them was in a lhd daf with a fridge, and said he was in france and spain a lot, not normally in ireland
they have irish drivers who pick up the trailers from the ferry tip and reload them then back to the ferry, they’re home every night and have older trucks. the majority of their trailers are shipped unaccompanied as its cheaper and the majority of their trucks don’t go back to new ross that often.
Batista230:
has anyone rang them up just recently
Did they ask for you to send a CV to them?
No one has answered it as of yet
It’s 2011 and it’s safe to assume everyone will ask for a CV. As for employing local lads, they never really have and the few that do have been there years. Very few Irish men have worked there. At one point you had to be Welsh to get a job! When I meet Irish drivers they always seem intrigued that I worked for Nolans, it was like a closed club to the Irish at one point. Originally stems from union issues in the 80’s.

So much for having the interview on the phone and go pick the truck up and off to work
As you have advicated before

I have applied for quite a few local jobs and non of them ask for a CV
If they ask for a CV then then its fair to say they ant going to hire you

Hum yes how shall I put this
They had such a shortage of drivers at one time thats why they would only employ Welsh and no one ells
I think its safe to say that Irish trucking jobs are now dead!

So, how many of those jobs did you get then? Hmmm?
And the 2nd highlighted point is not only badly spelt (again) but offensive
And as for your last point - WTF
Batista, get back to school, your dunce cap is waiting…

Advicated? I quite clearly told you originally, because you are quite clearly that Batista ■■■, that jobs over the phone was how it used to be done. Not anymore.
Oh and I think companies would prefer a gay man who could do the job rather than some arse who’s all talk and no trousers.
Ok… I wasn’t going to say it but YOU made me…A dyslexic homophobe…no offence to any other dyslexics out there
AND a racist (I didn’t like his crack about “only employ Welsh”
And why on earth is the word “dyslexic” so hard to spell? That’s just taking the ■■■■ …

I wouldn’t get too wound up by him. I pity him to be honest, must be a sad lonely life if you need to spend so much time on forums stirring crap. Poor man, poor poor man.
Luke, I was gonna report it, but you don’t strike me as the type to be offended by this sort of moron - I think you’re right on this one :-
DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS…
Well I for one will not be dragging this topic up any further
As myself and OP have clearly been lead up the garden path by drivers that left there Dunce cap behind at school

Oh poor you, have we upset you? Why don’t you toddle off and have a cry, that’ll make you feel better. Bye

Indeed your right, I find it hard to be insulted by idiots. Tend to just laugh at them.
