Been listening to you and yours on radio 4.
Basically there been a new.build housing estate built next industrial units someware in daventey.
Residents have moved into to there new build.homes and are now complaing about the noise.
One warehouse operate 24 7.
Had lots of complaints about forklift reversing sounds . Them .tooting When they enter the warehouse door etc.
Noise from the trucks
And the residents want change and compensation.
Personally I say tough luck the warehousing was there 1st before you moved in should expect noise moving next to any industrial units
I deliver to building ■■■■■■ everyday and some of them I’m amazed they even sell the houses! For instance, there’s a development going on near the iport just outside donny on the road that goes into Rossington. Right next door to it is a recycling plant which is visible from the estate and stinks!
Who in their right mind buys a house that will forever smell and be full of flys in the summer!?!?!
YOUR AVERAGE UK LEMMING BUYS HOUSES LIKE THAT,WHICH IS WHY THEY MAKE THEM AND CRAM THEM INTO CRAP LOCATIONS.
THEY DESERVE ALL THEY GET.
THERES NOT MUCH POINT BUYING A HOUSE NEXT TO THE AIRPORT JUST SO YOU CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT THE PLANES,THOUGH IN MODERN SNOWFLAKE ENTITLEMENT LITIGATION BRITAIN THESE KIND OF FACEBOOK TWITTER CABBAGES ACTUALLY GET LISTENED TO.
oops…
apologies and sorry for the caps chaps,i dont look while writing as we must always be in full control of our 46 ton death on wheels juggernaut killing machines…
We have supermarkets with new builds right at the back of the shop. The number of complaints we get as we deliver at night, makes you want to tell the dumb ■■■■■ to ■■■■ off…the supermarket was here long before you viewed the technicolor plans and show home!

I’d assume your referring to the similar type of clown who buy a house with parking for one car, move in an then park the other 6 along every pavement, or wherever else their ignorance takes a fancy too?
Same clowns who then cry when bins ent done, an cars get keyed damaged, yet still stand an moan the pavements full…
Surely can’t be the same type of folk in Ireland too Mr dog?
Can’t understand the mentality of some home buyers. They just don’t seem to think before they buy. Maybe the cost is a reflection of where they buy, I don’t know but one thing that winds me up as has been mentioned are pavement parkers especially the ones that dump their whole car on the pavement because they are too lazy to walk from a proper space. They block pedestrians sometimes causing them to walk on the road and worse than that, they block wheelchairs. Did I not read they are going to start dealing with these selfish ■■■■■ sometime soon.
Van drivers also seem to think they have the right to dump their van right outside where they want to be. Pavements were built for pedestrians and not selfish road users.

Relation to your van point, MANY firms get a tax break for the employee taking the vehicles home, one of my previous employers supplied a van under the guise of yay here’s a company van…
It also allows bending of working time rules an other such treats for them, as now your a mobile worker [emoji38]
I’ve a bloke near me, 3 bed house space for 2 cars…
Yet He’s got five vehicles, two of which are his own company ones, an yip you guessed it every pavements got him on it, an every road into the estates near impassable for other residents.
He’s been ticketed, had the bin men give him wot for, numerous resident complaints, confrontations and all the rest yet still he persists, but I sense due to being a dwarf with no hair it may medically related.
Sadly this thread, along with many others is just another example of what this planets all about, itself.

At best the plan is more like buy the cheapest rabbit hutch on the highest density zb hole estate they can find with no intention whatsoever of wanting to live there themselves. They’ll expect to flog it on for an inbuilt profit so they can move somewhere better at the expense of the just as stupid next mug who’ll intend the same.IE the definition of the ‘housing ladder’.

there are,but depending on the area if a quiet word dont work, then its a quieter one from someone in a balaclava…if that dont work, its a louder wakeup call with a pipe bomb,or a knee getting destroyed.
in other aspects, also compared to the uk,then theres a lack of abdul from the corner shop with 15 of a family and 6 mazda/toyota vans and cars as even though they are swarming in at an alarming rate, its nothing compared to whats left of the uk.
the roads are not made big enough for people on both sides of the street to park properly,so you just need to do what you need to do.
if once a year 18 wheel eddie comes along in his cripmobile, then tough ■■■■■.
if the binnys cant access, then its an earlier finish for them as all they will do is call it in and leave the entire street.

Anyone seen Alf Garnett pushing Dandy Nicholls up the road “because the bloody pavements blocked?”

Just landed on a persimmon site, 7.30, in little wratting. Sorry drive, can’t tip you and you can’t use the moffett until 8.00 because the customers/residents are complaining about the noise/mud/dust etc etc [emoji849]
I’ve been doing mainly building site work for 17 years and it’s never been so bad for it.
Symptomatic of the snowflake/entitled generation this countries population has become.
Pathetic [emoji19]

I used to live on one those new insincere estates in Sussex back in the 90`s…I recall my next door but one neighbour moving his van into my parking space on the roadside as I went to the garage to get flowers for Valentines day for the what is now ex wife… …It was a Sunday, so I parked a bit away and went up to his door and knocked violently……He eventually answered and asked me what my problem was
I told him that if he did not move his van now, I would set it on fire and that was why I had parked my ■■■■■■ old pug down the road a bit, he tried to protest, so stepped inside his house pushing him and told him to get it moved, as I was giving the flowers to the missus and then searching for my petrol container he moved his van and I never had a problem after…I was renowned for burning stuff and having impromptu fires where and when I liked, I also used to do a bit of fire breathing, so I was no stranger to getting burnt.
I love fire.
Apparently as a child my psychologists report said that I was trying to recreate the warmth that my mother had never shown me.
The metal fabrication company that I worked for actually sold the land that then had a cul d sac of 8 houses built on it .
This led to restrictions being imposed on us . No work before 8 am or after 8 pm mon to fri , 8 -1pm sat , nothing on Sunday or bank holidays .
Only ever had problems with one of the residents.
He started to complain about noise and they installed monitoring equipment in his house . No problems for weeks then we caught him beating the hell out of his wooden fence at the same time as a gas crew were using road breakers to dig the road up . The council were called a quickly attended and warnings were issued to him .
A couple of weeks later he’s reported that his electricity supply is dropping and maintains it is when we start up machines in our workshop . Highly unlikely as we had our own sub station.
They still went through the motions of monitoring our supply and as expected no fault was found .
It turned out he had done some DIY wiring in his house which was soon condemned as a fire risk .
About this time his wife left because of his behaviour. He also had a huge row with his daughter when she was home from university when he caught her posing ■■■■ out of her bedroom windows at the guys from our place .
A couple of months later he just up and left . Left his little truck behind and just went . Shortly after the ex wife moved back followed by a succession of boyfriends .
