No work unless i go with NOVA

I passed my artic test in August and have been on agency driving vans, 7.5 and the od class 2 since October. After xmas the works disappeared and only had 1 days work this week driving a van.

Now the agency are saying because of this 12 week agency workers b.s. my only consistent days work a week will be gone unless i go self employed thru NOVA to get around the 12 week thing.

I will not be any better of self employed but i dont want to loose my only days work.

Is any one on NOVA and is it worth it?

Any advice would be helpful.

Also any ideas on finding work. Im from notts but will travel. Any Hours, nights out not a problem, just in desperate need of a job.

i used to have a vauxhall nova.

It’s never worth paying nova to do what you can do yourself,if you are only getting 1 days work you will lose money.If all agency drivers stuck together and did not sign the agencies would give up in 2 days.
Drivers must be the only working people who do not want to better there terms which is what the new law will do.

I dont think al bother with nova then, al try some other agencies.

Nova will charge you £20-something a week whether you do one day or 7. Even Nova said on their website at one point that unless you were doing over £300 a week and had over 1/3 of that as claimable expenses it wasn’t worth using them.
