No Training, Just My Test Thanks...!?

Just been informed today that someone I know is, or wants to go for their C1 WITHOUT any kind of training beforehand…!!! :open_mouth:

They’ve said, as it’s to use their horsebox (non commercial■■?), and as the course is tailor made (and much cheaper) for this purpose, they don’t need the whole shebang of training beforehand etc…

Thoughts…■■?

They used to give the 7.5 tonne entitlement as a free gift with every car pass. In fact a lot of 7.5 drivers are doing so on grandfather rights. Good luck finding a training school that will let you do what it is you want to do.

Has the person thought about doing the test privately using the horsebox?

She’s just recently took her B+E to tow the trailer horse box, but failed that first time due to again, no previous training… :unamused:

Tried to explain she must have training, you never know what might happen, but wouldn’t listen… :unamused:
