No shortage of material handling capability on this Volvo

The payload must be dire. I wouldn’t imagine you’d get many concrete barriers on that.

Am I missing something but why would you need a crane and a FLT? Surely do away with the crane and just use the FLT to lift the stuff off the bed and deposit it where you want. :unamused:

In this instance I’d agree but I’ve often thought that a Moffet would make my life easier for some jobs. I need a crane for containers and the like and lifting awkward things in tricky spots but I also get a lot of site clearance work where smaller items are dotted about all over the place or need to place items where I can’t get the truck. A Moffet would be handy for that sort of thing and I could leave it behind when not needed. It’s just easier and cheaper for the driver to struggle though!

I’d imagine you’d get most of the barriers delivered on ordinary flatbed artics. The Moffett would enable them to be unloaded and positioned quicker, and you wouldn’t have to keep moving the rigid all the time. Time is very critical on a lot of these jobs.

My thoughts exactly. Will save a ton of time by not having to move the vehicle every 5 seconds.
