Demand substantially higher rates then, or quit the agency and get a full time job as I have.Glad it’s that frigging easy.
There’s jobs out there -mostly in areas avoided by drivers looking for work, eg. multidrop food deliveries.
There are drivers at present who are even avoiding working for expanding firms like Aldi - because you’ve got to self-tip.
What makes a job “acceptable” clearly isn’t the pay rate as a first concern, as there are plenty who’ll say “Hey, it’s an easy job!” when confronted with “Why are they working for less than a tenner per hour?”
Anyone doing any job on a self-employed basis though - should already be receiving a minimum rate somewhere in excess of NMW. They won’t be getting holiday pay, sick pay, or employer’s stamp paid after all.
