New name Logistics development group plc?
Sounds a bit like Transport Development Group, an ironic name as it seemed not to develop at all.

Different division to the haulage side which I think is still called Eddie Stobarts. I’m always a bit confused but all the parts, but this bit wants to buy up more companies using other peoples money.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they bought up Rhys Jones contracts since that’s owned by an investment company now (or was until the receivers went in). Plenty of staff could do with some job security there.

Yes that other lot, although I’ve not seen Griff on the TV recently, so maybe he’ll be bought by them too. Hmm, this might be worth a call as they seem pretty clueless in the financial dept (plus there’s a nice English / Welsh bridge I have for sale).

One of there drivers told me this yesterday ( apparently it’s all over Facebook ) , but as I don’t go on there I’ve no idea what it says on there to lead him to believe the name will be changed . He also said trampers are now all getting plain white top line scanias ,
only seen a few but the configuration of them made me believe they were more for euro work than uk . I’ve seen new uniform that seems plain black with stobart on sleeve rather than the previous green / red / black so maybe not a change in name ( as you wouldn’t pay 10 million ) then drop the name , but maybe a different look
I did drive a stobart lorry the other day that was in a ws wrap, but stobart name / fleet etc , which more tied in with the way I was told it would all go eventually , blue trucks / uniform
