No longer a Agency driver

After 27 years of being an Agency driver and in that time I must of been round the world at least twice, I have finally taken the plunge and signed on with a firm, that for me is “Radical”. How refreshing I found that they actually let you sleep after a night shift and not constantly phone you with a change of start times etc, I am sure that the agency boys on here will know what I am talking about, on the induction I was asked would I phone them when I get up and they will tell me were I am going and start time, now that is refreshing…
I signed on for Turners doing the produce runs, the money I thought was not too bad and 1st impressions they seem to look after their Drivers, of course you will always get drivers who continually complain about who they work for but if you ask them how long they have worked for a company some replies were “25 years man and boy”, cant be that bad then!!!
Probably not the best job in the world but then can be the worst either…

27 years is a very long time on agency. :open_mouth: Maybe you will get bored with turners and go back to agency in a few moon. Agency work can be very addictive once use to it. :sunglasses:

Having jacked in FT for agency after 22 years, I can’t imagine going back to FT until pay scales have improved significantly. :frowning:
I’m not anticipating that until about 2016 onwards… :open_mouth:
Working when you feel like is just too damned lucrative not to take full advantage of current conditions as agency!

A world record surely, I hated the agency for all the above reasons and then some, in particular the months of January and February, I can’t there being to many people that can top 27 years. Probably be checking your phone from time to time to see it’s not broken
