I’m not interested in this job but just saw it advertised. Why no CPC?
I can only think that it is wholly within depot driving, though it doesn’t say that.

I’m thinking that maybe this is a DVSA “sting” operation! After all it can’t be much fun standing beside a wet and windy road hunting errant drivers, why not simply let them come to you?

Doesn’t look like they’re very interested in catching anyone, they have only issued 80 fines so far nationally.
^^^ that figure surprises me. I wonder how many drivers are chancing their arms by driving without one? The laws of averages state you’ll more likely get away with it. Last time I was pulled for a check was back in the 90’s, and that was only because I was driving a tanker and the cop had just done his course and wanted to practise.
That would be my guess too reading that description.
My firm does a bit of work for one of the airline food companies at Heathrow, having spoken to a couple of their drivers who deliver the food/duty free trollies from the depot to the planes they were told DCPC was definitely required.
Never done airport work but surely deliveries are made to an onsite warehouse by road going vehicles?
Supplies as required are then transported to the aircraft by air side scissor lift trucks. (which presumably run on red).
Some of you seem to be missing this bit:
