It’s quite amazing how, when rowley oi oi is getting slammed for posting his usual drivel the only one to come to his support is rowley oi oi-sorry jakethesnake. It’s almost as if they have the same mindset

Rowley010:
I also overtook 3 artics that I was only going slightly faster than. All 3 didn’t bother to back off 1 or 2 clicks to help me past and non flashed me back in

If you were truly a professional you’d have not started the overtake in the first place.

oi, who’s a clever boy then…It must have taken so much working out that we both despise bad driving. :unamused:

Thing is it ain’t drivel and that’s why some get so worked up. The truth hurts.

Blimey, you need advertise that one well Conor and the roads would be a better place.

Oh really. How? I’m going faster than another vehicle so rather than going in to a dangerous tailgating situation move out to overtake. My that logic you think most artic drivers aren’t professional

Personally…I hang back until I know who’s faster.
Then I’ll decide wether to overtake or not.

Drivers and screwdrivers

Oh…and don’t run with the cruise set on max.
Then you’ll have an extra bit of shove…should you need it :bulb:

and how many valuable seconds on your shift of complete multiple user id fantasy mince do you think you would save when your never done rabbling on about tailgating and overtaking for the sake of 0.2 of a mph difference… be a good man and dont cross post yourself with 2 different viewpoints otherwise itl be no rice pudding and up the naughty stairs early for you.

Also helps when you’re familiar with the road, as Jimmy Hill appears to be so familiar with the M6, so you can also remember where the gradients are and use your load or lack of load to plan the pass, you know, like a professional would plan and assess the situation…not like Rowley010, he’d prefer to elephant race and try to bully other drivers into slowing down and his only alternative in the situation, as he has said, would be to end up tailgating.
Thank god there are still some good drivers out there who can plan ahead and not end up in these situations.
All of his latest fantasy drivel could have been avoided by lifting and waiting, but no, bully boy has to be on the limit.

I thought I’d take your advice on going on the limiter and not coming off to see how many split seconds I could save, but found other professional drivers have no manners. I shall revert to calm slower driving next shift.

In a situation where I’m being hung out, to avoid elephant racing, I back off a click or two, let them through on the inside and pull back in because I cant be bothered with extra hassle.

And also because I’m a hero. Except i dont feel the need to highlight it, I just get on with my life.

+1

On the M6 tonight I moved out to allow HGVs to join the motorway twice and both left me out in lane 2 and just matched my speed.

I also overtook 3 artics that I was only going slightly faster than. All 3 didn’t bother to back off 1 or 2 clicks to help me past and non flashed me back in (no I don’t NEED flashing in but it’s a bit of courtesy isn’t it)

Where has a bit of manners gone between truck drivers? Oh yeah I forgot there ain’t any

Mister perfect, you must have regular dreams every night about trucks, sad

No, nobody’s perfect but it does not take much to drive with a bit of respect for fellow road users. Rowleys quite right to point these morons out.
There are far too many of them about and I suspect the ones that get wound up by Rowleys posts …

Maybe.

My rule is this. If I can let a truckie out I will do but if i means slowing down as I can’t move over and wipe out the car that is overtaking me then no. It is my right of way and the joiner has to slow down a tad to dove tail in behind.

Totally agree with you there. I was always very wary of moving out in some situations but as long as I was fairly certain I could return to the lane then never a problem. I don’t like the ones that think you should move over (when you can’t) and give you grief.
TBH I was referring more to the overtaking difficulties.

Be proffessional and let it go.I dont let anything bother me.Rowley it means you are driving in anger.look how many members are here and how many moan daily only you.If you let things pass you will understand. If the roads are making you a serial moaner take a break.
