I wouldn’t call Dumfries or Berwick local tbh. I am pretty much bang in the middle of them.
I know the Berwick roads better though.
Good point about having 2 drivers. I remember when I did my class 2, very long days and very tiring trying to take everything in.
You will also learn from the other drivers mistakes also I guess.
I think I will pay Nithcree a visit soon.
i work for a bakery in the catherine indusrial estate.as a driver.they seem 2 be busy.they use the estate as part of the training cource.every day vechicle in and out .i passed my hgv class 1 over in the borders many moons ago.with jim shanks 
if i remember right in a scania 81.idont use my hgv as im happy at the bakery.did some casual for curries.

Hey presto. I did my class 2 with Jim Shanks and was very pleased with it all. I got through first time with 8 minors so was pleased with that. I would go back and do my class 1 but the whole idea of doing it in an artic appeals to me and I am pretty sure Jim Shanks does it in a wagon and drag.
Deffo not ruled him out tho 
does jim shanks still do the hgv/training
Yeh I am pretty sure he does. I would recommend him to anybody.
