NIMBY's and Juggernauts

NIMBY upset at an official diversion route along a major A road

How dare they send the thundering juggernauts past his house? they should be going through the fields instead, or stacked until the road opens again.

Jesus Wept! :unamused:

Some peoples attitude astounds me.
Buying a house does not give you a right to decide what traffic is allowed to use the road next to it.
Its time these moaning whinge bags were reminded of that fact.

its about 100 trucks an hour

The 500 trucks filmed by the pensioner were recorded travelling past his home in a single night

The M60 is being closed westbound on weeknights from junction 16, for Swinton and the A666, between 10pm and 5am

Not exactly all night and his figures don’t add up. NIMBY

This will be in the mail tommorow but it’ll be 1000 Juggernaughts and a picture of a little kid on a bike with a sad face,oh and a warning it’s gonna be the worse winter for a billion years for snow and we’re all gonna die.

too bad , how sad , move along now .
Sorry - did anyone think of the children yet ? - xichrisxi did so thats ok then .

Recently I’ve seen a helicopter in the sky and a boat on a river !

Why are they closing westbound traffic completely and not sticking in a contraflow? I’ll hazard a guess it’s just a lot easier for them. Lorries sitting outside houses on tickover at 5.15 aswell on quick 15 is also terrible.

You night monkeys are forever moaning about night closures and yet you are slating these folk for complaining about the same thing

Traffic levels have long since passed when you could get away with a contraflow system. Three narrow lanes is bad enough, 2 would be horrendous.

I remember the last time there was a contraflow on the M6 between J7 and J8. It was bedlam.

The problem is they’re lying there in bed waiting for the next truck to go past. Just ignore it. They should try having a night out in the middle of the day on a busy trading estate next to some train tracks and some of the other ridiculous places I’ve had to night out. If you’re tired though you’ll sleep. Only a few times has the noise been so bad I’ve had to drive round in my boxers looking for somewhere else to sleep.

I can completely tune out road noise though, doesn’t affect me at all. Running engines outside houses is bang out of order though I must admit.

This is made worse by the closure of the a54 near Accrington (till August I believe). Trying to get to the Blackburn area from Yorkshire is a nightmare now. Planning at its best from Highways England. Again.

This is in my local newspaper. Going off the photos, this fella lives on the A666 on the Salford/Bolton border. The pavement is about 30 foot wide and there is nowhere for a wagon to park so that puts the 05.15 thing to bed. Google earth Manchester Road/Teak Drive, Kearsley, M27 for a proper view and you will see its a 30 zone.
Why live on a main road. There are no restrictions on the A666 so tough in my opinion.

All the years that I have driven trucks I can not remember ever once thundering or hurtling. :unamused:

That’s not what I’ve heard!

I reckon he has been hit in the head by a launched â– â– â– â–  bottle.

Don’t hear this lot complaining
