Nights out

I am a newbie when it comes to having nights out. I do find I have a better nights sleep in the lorry then I do at home in a proper bed. I am now finding myself not being able to sleep at home :smiley:

Thought I share this, oh my sleeps are even better when the fridge is running. The non stop humming sends me off like a baby :smiley: :smiley:

Oh yes the fridge drowns out all other noises and lets you sleep soundly for a reduced 9 hour.

Summer is great for everyone else, but for a night driver it is hell to fall asleep in. Come October I love night out work cos it gets dark when I go to bed instead of getting dark just as I wake up.

total opposite only usually 3-4 hours sleep not good

having spent more nights asleep in a truck than at home in the last 20 yrs, I am the same .
find it difficult now to sleep at home sunday night are the worse for me when I know I have to be up at 4 in the morning only ever manage about 3 hrs which is a real pain :cry: :cry: :cry:

Not been doing nights out very long but I too sleep so much better in the lorry than at home.

Never actually been next to a fridge overnight but don’t think I’d have too much of an issue with it.

I could park in the far corner of a carpark with the fridge running out of the way. I still get people parking near me and then moan when the rest of the carpark is empty. :smiley:

It’s because tramping knackers the ■■■■ out of you. Exhaustion’s a wonderful thing when trying to sleep at the side of a main road…

I’ve been tramping only for around 4/5 months but I agree, I’m not sure if its the comfy beds or the fact by Wednesday I’ve used all reduced rests and extended drives which knackers me enough to knock me out every night but I don’t know about you lot but I find I sleep more in a lorry than at home for many reasons;

One being that as I’m already in the lorry there’s no commuting from home in the car to the yard so no need to get up hours earlier than needed ( just enough to get a wash, coffee, smoke and walk around check) , also when I’m home we tend to wind down by watching tele late and having a few beers etc.
