What’s your night out routine and where do you stop.
By this I mean do you stay in cab & cook etc , park at msc / truck stop etc or lay by/ industrial estate.
If poss I always stop at truck stops / msc , never done a lay-by, only done a couple of industrial estates.
Nearly come unstuck on one est in Nottingham parked up early thinking other drivers would follow suit only to wake up at about 11pm and was the only driver there. Then about 1am a few lads on mopeds spent the whole night until about 5am loitering around doing wheelies etc tbf never touched the truck but it was a very uneasy night.
I personally eat in cab ( cook ) then if possible go for a decent walk if at a truck stop . If at a msc a few laps of the services.
I park on estates places I know.
Then get out go for a walk to local Tesco’ get pint milk few bits. Stop off at wetherpaoons etc on way back for tea.
Depenind on time if early finish I’ll park up go around the shops etc.
If near Bristol way I’ll call in visit friends there.
Last job had about once a month used park up newton abbot about 5 ISH. Get the train / bus. To Torquay in the summer used be on the beach about 6 chilling out.
Think I’d go mad if had night out in any services bored nothing to do. I just can’t sit and watch TV even when I’m at home don’t watch TV… like to keep busy etc

Yep, it’s called m aking the best out of the job.
Always worked for me,.wouldn’t have it any other way., and I wouldn’t have lasted more than a week at it doing the alternative ‘cab rat in a lay by’ tramping ‘‘life.’’.
