Night tramper

Hey.

Right at my old job i did night outs on night work and i loved it. Just had to leave that place.
Now my new job is good. Night work with decent regular start times.
I asked the boss has he thought of having a night tramper along with his day trampers. He said its not on his list.

Does anyone know a firm in midlands who do this? I now stobarts do it but is there any others?
Cheers mike

Why would you want to sleep in a tin can? It’s much more pleasant at home in a nice comfy bed.

What a sad life you must have, wanting to do tramping on nights

Have you tried Birds just off the M5 at Dudley? Not sure if they do but they’re a big company so it’s worth a try.

Yes, I agree. How stupid a person must be to want to have a bit of time to do what they want with during the week. It’s much better to ‘max out’ as the saying goes, isn’t it?

Speaking of stupid, did you finally leave the firm where the boss was taking the ■■■■ out of you each and every working day?

Not really every person has their different likes and dislikes and he might not like what you do. :unamused: :unamused:

I see what your saying…each to there own.

My last job was my first artic job…Its hard out there to get a start. But the way they was working my hours was stupid so there you.Lesson learnt.

I wouldnt fancy your chances of sleeping much in a lorry thru the day in summer, unless it got thick black curtains and an aircon pod on the roof, you would be warmer than a boil in the bag cod in butter sauce

One of my first jobs was night tramping, was ok till summer hit, still remember 33 degrees in London, so hot in the cab went outside just as bad. Turned engine and air-con on for 10mins nice and cool turn engine off cause in a service station roasting again within 30secs. When it finally gets cooler and your settling into a nice sleep alarm goes off time to do a nine hour drive.

No fun at all.

Cheers for that.

I am not one of those 40 hour muppets but I really do want to be one and I am slowly getting there and if you don,t want to be a 40 hour or less muppet you really want your bumps feeling.
Off on a 3 month holiday a week tomorrow suppose it helps balance out the overtime I have unfortunately worked…
