The penalty for failing to comply with a traffic sign is a £100 fine and 3 points I think it is wrong to knowingly put a driver in a position where the only way he can complete a delivery is by putting himself at risk of a fine and an endorsement especially when he is not made aware of this possibility before commencing on the journey and is therefore denied the opportunity to decide for himself whether to continue or not.
Then again maybe I should just shut up and get on with it.
But then again it would just be my luck that they decide to have a clamp down just as I am going past the sign.
Seriously bud, we go in there at all manner of daft times. I really wouldn’t worry about it.

That is the fines London Control impose, could I also be charged £100 and given 3 points as that is the penalty for failing to obey a traffic sign - would it depend on who you get caught by and who is imposing the fine?

No idea but the only people that can give points is the Police and VOSA or what ever they call there today. Why there is a lorry control is a mystery as most drivers haven’t got a clue how it works. Also they say it to reduce noisey lorry are now a lot less noisey then 30 year ago when it came in to force .Also what about night works don’t they deserve a good day sleep.
Sorry for dragging this back up, but the weight limit on the 206 just before the arched bridge is it only 1 way ? I spoke to a couple of Asda drivers and they said they use it 24 hours aday and had no problems but i was told by another driver (non Asda) that the restriction is only 1 way coming off M25 ?
If you go off at Dartford and past Sainsbury’s, there’s a bridge don’t know the height, but that’s the way we go, you’ve also got solstor along there, and Aldi not far from Asda.
Which I think is the way you’ve suggested.
