That’s a hell of a run 4 or 5 nights a week hopefully not including Friday evening, probably just about doable so long as you get no hold ups or bad weather and its all pre loaded and trailer swaps.
Ideally the Chester collection needs to be done by days so the trunk runs direct Trafford Glasgow and return.
That wants to be £45k+, and a motor that does a generous 56 meaning actual 58, do not accept anything less, but i still wouldn’t want it.

TBH i’d want a price job on that, or salary.
The distance being covered you’ll be flat out all the time chasing your arse, and £15.50 doesn’t cut it nor really does hourly pay for this type of long distance running.

I used to night trunk from Bellshill to Runcorn and that took about 4 hours depending on traffic…
so what you are saying will be very tight as Glasgow is another 10 mins plus after Bellshill !
£15.50 nights chasing your arris they are joking surely. Any T/Clown can say a job can be done on time because he clicks a key and the computer says it can.
Of course it can providing there`s nobody else on the road,or road works etc, as always you will get the brown nose Drover who will do his/her utmost to make it work.
You’ve got no chance in a 9, you’re going to be pushing it doing it in a 10 if it’s Trafford Park - Chester - Glasgow - Trafford Park.
Our Wincanton subbies are doing Bellshill to Howdens at Runcorn on a night and running in with 10 minutes to spare out of a 4.5hr drive. Each of their drivers is only given it a couple of times a week for how often it turns into a 10hr run. At the moment it’s even more compounded with roadworks and full closures around Wigan from J23-26 on the M6. J33 often has a closure and they’re just in the process of chucking up roadworks from J41-42 M6 in both directions for a 3 mile stretch for 10 weeks worth of barrier repairs with a 50 limit on which some mongs are crawling through at 40 which even the car drivers get fed up with. On the M74 between J10 and Abington services there’s often some issue which results in a closure and everyone crawling down the B road alongside it.
Definitely very tight run solo.

Don’t mind doing 15 hours a day with haribo.
But it’s just a dream.
Sounds like someone’s just done their TMs CPC course and wants to make a name for himself running schedules to the wire. So Snow, fog, heavy rain, high winds, roadworks etc. are all reasons which might interest the TC.
absolutely no chance of doing that in 9 hours even without the trip to Chester. my night man runs from Rutherglen, Glasgow and just makes it to Charnock Richard or sometimes only Bamber Bridge/Walton summit in 4hrs+ depending on hold ups. and whereabouts in Glasgow is the trunk swap if its north or west that will be another 30 mins driving as well, so would be pushing to do it in a 10hr round trip
