Night Out Money

I don’t do nights out myself but have a friend who has just started doing the odd one for his company, could someone tell me what night out money should be paid & what if any is tax Deductable.

Thanks

the night out rate is set to whichever area you live in differant regions have differant rates and night out pay is non taxable its classed as expenses

Thanks for replying Carl ,my Mate lives in Hampshire but the company he works for is based in berkshire if this makes any difference??

best thing to do is contact a haulier in that area and ask what he pays.im not sure who sets the rates its either the tax office or rha or could be both.for this area of the midlands its £22.50 per night

Differant Tax areas have differant rates and allowences for nights out …

Crazy but True

Agreed rates between rha and the inland revenue for 2008 are as follows.
sleeper cab rate £22.39
meal allowance £2.00
incidental overnight expenses £5.00 UK…£10.00 Continental rate.

Your employer can agree an alternative with his local tax office if he thinks the set amounts are not sufficient for his type of work.
