How does everyone’s night out money get paid? Should it show on your wage slip or can it be paid into your bank separately?
Mine gets paid weekly with my wages straight into my bank account. It shows on my payslip as non taxable expenses.
Depends if it’s taxed or not. Either way ideally it should show on your wage slip ideally. If it’s not taxed you need to provide receipts or proof of purchase, so you could get it paid through petty cash etc. otherwise you can get it paid gross and you get tax knocked off it.

You only get tax knocked off it if it’s above the £25odd that HMRC allow tax free.

The supplying of receipts seemed to be a flash in the pan, haven’t handed any in for a very long time.

My night out money is a separate payment to my wage. I get my wage paid into my bank and then a separate payment into my bank form nights out, its obviously tax free like that but I wondered if that is the right way to do it, is it law that it appears on your wage slip?
There was a big clusterflook about this receipt malarkey. Previously our nights out were paid at over the £26.20 tax fee limit and we had to provide daily receipts in order to qualify for tax free status. Since then we’ve simplified things by dropping our night out allowance to £26.20 but upping our hourly rate to compensate. We no longer are required to provide receipts.
The last company that I did regular nights out for, would pay cash, up front if you wanted. That was over 15 years ago and it was £30 a night out.
Shows as £40 on my wage slip, but pay tax on it.
