I don’t get night out money and I can imagine the reply if I asked for anySo you do nights out for nothing?
I get paid a day rate and for every one when I am here, and a retainer when on leave.

So its a clerical error.
Looks more like a ■■■■ take to me.
Ha they’ve just missed it mate I never had much of a problem but then I always made sure she who knew all in accounts / payroll knew I was night out.
You could try emailing your weekly night outs etc to her.
It’ll pith them off but I use to say to Warren if your P’d off with that how do you think I feel not getting paid . It was soon sorted .

Yes, if you are having a night out, you should get night out money. The whole point of night out money is to compensate the driver for the additional costs involved in being away from home- meals, telephone calls etc- and these don’t miraculously become free simply because the driver is only a few inches away from base on the company accountant’s map.
Spot on Harry.
I’ve heard of this before somewhere where they wouldn’t pay night out if on one of the depots, how to motivate your workforce…

Going the first time, and not getting paid is a ■■■■ take by them.
Going a second time is a lesson not learned by you.
What made you even do it without getting assurance you would be paid. ?
I know of these lot mate, if you don’t stand up for yourself they will walk all over you.

I love this bit of fluff off their website:
At R.T. Keedwell we know that when our workforce is motivated, engaged and enjoys coming to work, it will make a significant difference to both our own success and that of our customers, so we work hard to make everyone feel very welcome and a valued team member.
I thought it were against the forum rules to post quotes from other websites ? (like as in the blocked wunny bunny thread)
See…I was “budgeted” for nights out in a previous job, for which I saw none of. In my current job, I receive a certain amount each month regardless of how many I actually do. Benefits me every time though. I know it’s not part of the salary, but it’s a nice chunk at the end of every month.

I’ve spoken to a few R.T. Keedwell drivers in my time and I’ve yet to meet one who says “I enjoy coming to work”
I think they are probably no better or worse than any other haulier of a comparable size though, there comes a point where a haulier outgrows its original owner’s ethos and becomes entirely driven by profit. They then employ financial directors on £80,000 a year to chisel a bloke out of his £25 night-out money.
I get paid nights out even been told to take a night out even though the drop was 15miles from depot and I had time to go back but that would have meant going past drop to get back to yard so 30 mile round trip
I’d be looking for a new job, simple as that.
I go to work, I don’t sell their diesel, I don’t damage their equipment, I don’t damage the cargo, I don’t ■■■■ the customers off. That is my side of the bargain complete and I expect them to complete their side of the bargain in return. They don’t then I walk. The end.

None of this being recovered either (if your spreadover is up), thats illegal as every DCPC holder will or should know.Well, yes and no. Illegal in a works vehicle, not illegal in the wife’s car/ taxi etc.
No, the Regs are quite clear that time spent travelling to/from a vehicle that is away from Base cannot be counted as Rest. Doesn’t matter how that journey is made.
