I’m a bit that way, no ■■■■ interest in tech, digi tachos, and in -truck electronic gadgetry etc and all that ■■■■.
However something that keeps me warm in winter, and I’m an expert on all the settings. 
How do you set the 2011 man its a nightmare.
I used to have mine set to come on 20 minutes before I arrived in the morning. Now I’m on shift work, I don’t have that luxury.

I always this time of year even if I go home the night pre-set my night heater to come on 1-2hrs before I start so my cab is toasty

warmish air after 20 mins??..obviously you must have been the gaffers ■■■■■ to have the best truck in the fleet?..some of us had to rough it.
I was mate …but, after being caught under the desk sucking him off was demoted to the old bits of ■■■■ again…

You can set mine on the dash display (yes the one conveniently sited down by your left kneecap 
) or presumably on the remote thingy.
Tried the dash ended up nowhere, pulled the selophane out to engage the batteries on the remote, nope haven’t got a bloody clue there either.
Spent about an hour going through the 14 volume drivers manual still no bloody wiser found mesen losing the will to live, lorry being replaced next year so hopefully i’ll be able to work the next bugger, breath not held 
If it’s any consolation, when we got a load of 63-plate MANs in at my last place they sent the driver trainer down to do a course about them. He reliably informed us that the instructions from the manufacturer themselves were “don’t try and use the timer to set the night heater, even we don’t know how to make it work.”

Yes that does console me uselessnessness a little bit 
, i’m not that hopeless normally though failed dismally to program this thing, some things are just not worth the effort, eg trying anything with the previous generation Stonebridge tacho other than to get me card back out and that was touch and go 
Whats a night heater… it was bad having to come into work, get given the keys, then having to get the blow torch out on the windscreen to get rid of the ice, then light a fire under the diesel tank to de wax the fuel…then after that, get the starting handle out to crank the engine over…it was nearly time to go home once all that had been done…my old grandad told me about his times when he had to light the boiler first…but thats another story.

thats what you get for not taking a jar of vaseline into work with you every morning…if you slabber it all over the door handles,nobody can come in and catch you…
Can’t help feeling the timers were better in the analogue days when all you had was a clock with a settable needle somewhere in the cab, a bit like an alarm clock. Does anybody really need to set their night heater to come on at a different time every day for the next three weeks?
More to the point, who the hell knows what time their going to be starting for the next three weeks AND that it won’t have changed by the time they get there■■?
