Night closures on the M6

Hi guys and gals,

i’m doing regular trunk work from edinburgh to northampton and i’m constantly running into night closures on the M6, particularly southbound between J7 and J6. (night trunking btw)

is there anyway or where i can find out how much longer im going to have to deal with this… i cant find a website that gives accurate info?

i’ve been coming off the M6 at J15 and using the A50 to get to the M1 but that route is going to be shut next week and birmingham is becoming a real pain with poorly signed diversions.

tonight we are planning to try M6 A66 A1,M1 as this option seems to bypass a large chunk of grief… we also saw a sign that said something about J2 being closed as well.
