Nothing new there.
We should start another ‘‘ist’’ or ‘‘phobic’’ category, it always seems to to the trick in a court of law in this country today.
So next time you rock up at Asda for breakfast (someting I did quite often in my previous job) and you can’t get under the barrier,.accuse them of being ‘‘Truckerists’’ or displaying ‘‘Truckerphobia’’ and get some lefty lawyer to defend you under legal aid.
How does that work in Aldi or Lidl ? , as I know one Southampton branch of Aldi has DD trailers do it’s deliveries
Most of my local stores have a different entrance for deliveries, I know that my local Asda, Morrisons, Tesco & Sainsburys have HGV entrance but the local Aldi and Lidl will have a problem if they have barriers.
Trailer hight has nothing to do with it. They just want to ban trucks.
Car park at Tesco near me has height restrictions. So does retail park opposite it’s full of barriers and posts.
Won’t affect deliverys though
Was told iits to stop caravans travellers parking up.never had a problem with them near me and why thed want to park up in a built up area who knows.
Just seems a waste of money if ask me.
Same as councils have this thing for putting metal bollards all over the footpath kerb side. No idea why and no need
But yeah councils just like to waste money
