Pull up at the Shell, going north only.Walk out of the fenced area, going north along route de Bordeaux, parralel to the national 10,from Angouleme, you will see a tyre depot on the right, turn right along route de Rejaillant,if next right,it dont matter cos end up on same place, follow sign for Aire de loisirs, picnic place and leisure area on the banks of a nice river with an ice cream cafe and beer garden,by an old mill.It is possible to swim in the river.Gets you out of the cab for a 24 or 45 off on a Sunday in France. Not many know it there, and stay inside the cab all day.Let me know what you think of the place if you decide to visit it.It is the D911 you walk up to get to Ruffec.
toby this is one of the few places i would say DO NOT PARK HERE on the N10 because its one of the few places where the curtain slashers and gassers operate
Perhaps a larger Routier would be better.Cheers for that.TC.
Western Trucks used to be good when there were enough Brits around spending money, but I think it shuts weekends now due to lack of cash spending drivers, but going up or down if it is just for one night I would normally pick the Fish resaruant at Vivonne
