It sounds like he is going away to Germany for a few days and then back to work friday/saturday.

I don’t claim to be a academic, although I can grasp the the fact he is taking a truck from UK to Germany, he is making a call on a truckers forum so if other like minded folks are heading in the same direction then maybe. They could share a cabin, a pint or to?
