If I am in an MSA or lorry park I have just started walking around the perimeters. Sometimes if I’m feeling really saucy, and it isn’t too big, I will do two or three laps. I am planning to set a Personal Best for each site with a view to beating it the next time. Not the most arduous exercise, but better than sitting on your duff playing Angry Birds IMHO.
If anybody else wants to join in we could have a League Table or even a Truck (&) Driver Olympics!
Use what could have been someone else’s “Mastabatorium” behind closed curtains? No thanks
If I make it back to base so my 45 can be used by the firm usefully, I’ll take a stroll to into town, or crack out the chair if it’s nice weather and just enjoy sitting outside. I have even been known to, talk to either another of our drivers/the office bods shooting the breeze. I’ll deny that last sentence if asked about it in a court of law. Don’t want to be disavowed from TruckClub…
I don’t cat nap like some as I find I’m less alert when I wake up, I need to get the blood flowing to recuperate really!
When I was driving and taking the 45 I would have a snack and then outside to do my tai chi for 15 minutes. It is a great way to re invigorate your mind and body. I learned it when we were in Hong Kong and it is a great way to de-stress exercise for the whole body I did it hail rain or shine and I tell you I used to get some odd looks from passing cars if I was parked in a lay by. I still do it every day now I am retired.

What ■■ no one admitting to tipping or loading while on a break … well I used too (if it were in my own best interest to do so ) (allegedly)
I was told in an RDC the other day, in the days of analogue tacho, you could park outside your drop/collection the night before, take out your card, and spend a good hour or two loading/unloading next morning, and put your card in when you were ready to go. I mean really, who would do such a thing…
If I had curtains, probably draw them and pull me pud. But being as though I haven’t, usually have a look on here or vacantly stare stare out the window. If I fell asleep, I wouldn’t wake up!!!
