Newly qualified driver work

I’m about to take my class 1 test in a couple of weeks. I’m class 2 at the moment since March this year and found it fairly easy to get work by registering with various agencies. Has anyone got any advice on how a newly qualified class 1 driver could get work such as companies or agencies who take on newly qualified drivers?

Also, anyone got any advice on how I get on the tanks.

Any advice always appreciated.

Well it’s the right time of year. People will be looking for temp drivers for Xmas soon. That will get you some solid experience for your cv.

Stick with the agencies you work with, if they’re giving you class 2 work now then chances are you’ll get class 1 work when you pass your C+E test. While you’re doing whatever work you’re getting through the agency, talk to anyone and everyone, chances are you’ll meet someone looking for a driver. Thats how I did it and it didn’t take long. :wink:
