If stuck there for a weekend,do not despair,get a bus that goes to Eastbourne,and hop off at the Seven Sisters natural park,bird watchers estuary and beach,or walk along the cliffs and steep hills along the coast. Old world style Smugglers Inn pub that do a cracking Fishermans Pie,for about a tenner,you wont eat for a day after that.
For nocturnal activities,bus or train to Brighton,cheap noodle bars,night clubs,if too late get a taxi back,or bike it.
Cafe and free showers in the port,may have to ask for the key if it is locked.
i’ve spent many days down there, but sadly i didn’t get to go into the smugglers inn.
they arrested me. twice.
why the [zb] does a town have a pub called the smugglers inn, then when someone tries to keep up with a great british tradition, they nick you for it?
