where I work out of is out in the sticks, following an HGV today and he kept braking when it was totally clear in front of him,no judgement of the width of his vehicle, came to a T junction and the driver indicates right then turns left, then swings out across the other side of the road to take the turn leaving around 8 to 9 feet on the inside,i don’t even think a newby would drive like that

Could be a newbie or perhaps a lost driver looking for somewhere or both.
He probably would if he was drunk or clueless! I must admit to tutting in exasperation when following some lorries and seeing their brake lights come on for no reason. Well I did until the first time I drove with the radio off and heard the brake light relay clicking when I applied the exhaust brake.
I take the bulbs out now 'cos I don’t want anyone to think I’m a newbie
+1
Mines just had a software upgrade or I just hadn’t noticed and the bloody brake lights come on when exhaust brake is in position 2. I look like a right plonker braking all the time.
I only found this out today on a country lane, pitch black peering out the mirrors I was all over the shop. Almost messed a left turn up thought I had to go right but changed me mind at the last second, must of been 8-9 feet from the nearside kerb…
We all started somewhere mate.
