Im andy, im 21yrs old… and live in the west midlands…
not long passed my class 2 HGV… currently driving a Volvo Fl6 v reg…for my firm… but looking to do my class 1 as soon as possible…
I got in to trucking when my dad was a international driver - driving all over the U.K and Europe… and use to take me with him…
So always wanted to do it… and love every moment…
so if any one can help me out as im all new to the trucking laws etc and any general information you can pass on…
P.s if i post some where i shudn’t then please let me know or just delete it or move to the proper room!

Firstly congratulations on passing your class 2 and actually getting a driving job, many would envy you. Here’s a few of my favourite links:
This one from ROG’s signature, with plenty of tips for the class 1. The Transport Office’s page of reading material which will keep you amused for months. Speficially, the Drivers’ Hours Guide from that page is worth memorising as far as possible.
Finally, if you can deal with a bit of Spanish, this free digital tacho simulator might come in handy.
And, as bigcheese said, there’s plenty of useful info already here, just have a look around and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

i have post in a couple of topics etc and just finding my self around the site…
the only reason ive got a job on the class 2 is becuase i was just a normal van driver for the same company and as they put 3/4’s for my class 2 i cudn’t really say no lol… but its for the same company!
i will try and get pics of my truck im currently driving - shes a oldish lady v reg but hey she still going strong :d
i was just wondering is there any way that people get spotted on here out on the road ? i.e stickers or any think like that ?
