Just to let you know that there is hope for newbies. I passed my class 1 last month and did apply for numerous jobs straight away.
I went for an interview last week which involved some written tests too and a driving assessment. I hadn’t heard anything for a week and thought that my lack of experience had been my downfall. However my phone rang today and the transport manager informed me that I had been successful and welcomed me to the team. A full time position in the bag, absolutely chuffed to bits!!!

A lot of newbies are getting jobs now looks like the job is getting better or less people want to do it still good on you

Well done on getting the Job ,it always gives newbies hope,I wondered what the written tests involved?

Jimuk - the written tests were not too bad if I’m honest. There was one on general traffic signs, another which was very similar to the theory test and one on tacho and driver hrs etc.
