Newbie cpc training

Hi, im new to this forum and truck driving, I’m looking for info regards cpc training. I have recently left the army with a city and guilds level 2 nvq in carrying and delivering goods(quite a mouthful!!) does this count towards any of the 35 hours training needed?? Any help would be appreciated!

Any training you do for periodic dcpc must be jaupt approved

Was your course so approved?

Some are leaving the forces after getting their first LGV category on their licence (C1 or C) after 09/09/2009 and have not passed the initial LGV dcpc - are you one of those?
If you are then no periodic training will count until the initial has been passed and no commercial civvy LGV driving can be done until the initial is passed

The simple answer to that is almost certainly no.

Depending on when you passed your catC will determine whether you need 35 hours periodic training or Module 2 and Module 4 tests.

If you passed before Sept 2009 then you need the 35 hours training( I would recommend this asap if looking for work) and this must be completed before Sept 2014.

If you passed after Sept 2014 then you will need the Initial tests as mentioned above BEFORE you can drive commercially.

Hope this helps
