Newbe - travelling Croatia to Italy

High everyone, I’m new to this site so not sure of format or etiquette.

I’m driving from Split up to Vodice (HR) and then on to Sarzana (It) via Rijeka (HR), Triest, Bologna, Firenze (It). Leaving Split Friday, does anyone know the current road conditions in Italy and the the short hop through Slovenia?

I’m in a Ford Transit to Sarzana and shall be collecting a boat and trailer for the return trip to Split.

Any information and advice would be welcome.

You could always just take the ferry from split to ancona? Wouldn’t that be far more straight forward?

the ferry from split or zadar to ancona would be my choice as well, they leave every night afaik and youll be in ancona in 11 hours
