A certain haulier is currently restructuring and is closing their chilled depot at Newark. I don’t know if there are any links, and even if there were I’d not know how to post them. However I’d like to stress that this is purely restructuring and not a company in the doo doo.

To be fair, this ‘company’ do seem to have too many depots when they could just have fewer and bigger depots. Between Warrington & Widnes they must have 7 different depots alone

Yes! They have been restructuring for a bloody long time then! And the only depot shut down was Leeds which was a porta-cabin on someone else’s property!

When I was working there the rumours were going around. It was obvious it would happen eventually. Once lutterworth was up and running (things into the ground) it was always on the cards that it would eventually hold all the chill work. As contracts began to disappear it became more apparent that the rumours were actually true, dispite management saying otherwise. The nail in the coffin was stobart taking Doncaster over. As the majority of chill work was Tesco anyway.
Just my view on it.
It was a decent little job until Lutterworth, a decent bunch of blokes there as well, a real kick in the balls, some of those poor sods already moved from Corby as well.
may be will be some new Depo.becouse depo in magna park not big,not to many bay,yard not big.another side,may be company ready know who can lost some contract and will be not to many job.this company in last years lost to many job in chill food.

Just for the record I am wrong, really thought Newark would pull through the crap Lutterworth caused, well at least until last week when I heard they lost another 20+ contracts. Feel sad for the lads to be wrong, was a decent little depot that.
