NZ has a history of testing policies that filter out to the wider world, this could be coming to the UK.

Gets my vote. I’d add losing loads into that as well as the number of accidents a driver has over a rolling 5 year period.

If you follow the links embedded in the article it seems that there is quite a lot that has gone wrong in NZ’s heavy transport industry and the government’s enforcement of compliance, with suspensions of senior engineers and a large number of vehicles put off the road.
