. For the thickies that are, well, too thick to see a post for what it is, my £50k comment was obviously tongue in cheek. but don’t let that stop you from having a good old froth over it.

Because you are getting on my wick in another thread could you explain to me in simple lorry driver uneducated terms as to why the quote above is ‘obvious’ that the quote was tongue in cheek.
There are no humorous emoticons, no ‘obvious’ references to a joke or anything really. Just a random post for no reason

Bloody hell just realised, come to think of it. I’ve been on and off…and back on since 8 last night.

I was also sat looking in on here & a couple of other sites as per on NYE was on my own had a couple glasses nowt special was in bed long before midnight
IIRC a few years ago there was quite a few of us in the chat room on here at midnight all having a drink in our own houses but talking to mates was a good laugh I have another 52 week of the year to go out if I so wish
I did go out in the afternoon with some good mates as per was a good afternoon was home by 18.00 was happy to be

Well we are on the west coast of Scotland and I worked until 10pm painting a bedroom for the father in law who may soon get out of hospital , then walked down the beach with the missus and a camera to get pics of the aurora borealis display…it was a tad nippy as I had short on !
So it may be tea toast and bed soon.
So did you get to see them ?
I was aware there was a possibility of a showing, (I get the email alerts) , we had good clear skies and me and the wife went up a local hill in hope, but we seen nowt, they don’t often show as far south as the borders, but I have seen them in the past down here, it was good to just go out for a walk and enjoy the night sky, far better than a noisy pub full of drunken ejits. (i must be getting old, lol)
