Driver has got a PG9 for using a Lucozade bottle as a light lens , that’s more inventive than truckers tizer
bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-46089070
Depends if he got the PG9 for the bottle, non-working brake light, broken mirror or the weight - only says he couldn’t move due to the weight, so maybe a lucozade bottle is now legit? At least it didn’t have sharp corners.
Of course this means the Tizer bottle which is fairly red will work for the brake light lens, and most bottles are suitable for the reversing lights (not that they likely work anyway) and the orange lucozade is good for the side trailer lights. That’s several companies I’ve done work for rubbing their hands at the extra profit.
(PS: Ltd drivers, remember to include these on your tax-dodging expenses claims!)
Used an orange Burger King straw split down the middle, and a bit of black gaffs tape for an indicator lease in the past…
Unit was sold with it still installed too…
It looks to me like the PG9 was issued for being overweight.
Police said the “driver was fined and prohibited from moving until the weight issue was sorted”.

Love this. I used the film off the orange quality street wrapper to fix an indicator before the unit went to it’s next owner (it was exported though so I dont feel too guilty).
Meanwhile, the ■■■■■■ and grooming carry on as usual.

We don’t talk about that stuff! focus on the nasty drivers that are being caught and how much safer our roads our due to them taking all these nasty drivers off the road!..
Oh wait never mind they are just fining them… Well. Least these nasty drivers will have less money.
To be fair in relation to the lucozade lens, it’s an offence to show a white bulb to rear except for a reverse light … there foremhe was omitting an amber light so it’s not and offence per sa… only had tomstste yup some one damaged it and It is being notified upon return … seems he wasn’t bothered but with the other numerous offences.

Yep, I think the Lucazade bottle just made a better story.
When I saw the Lucozade lens I thought neat fix 'til it can be repaired properly - shows initiative.
Then he/she goes and blows it by being overweight
