serious though there building these smart motorways all over. they should run tv ads about how to use them etc. as yes its not exactly hard to work out.
but an ad campagain don’t use a red x lane then showing a car crash or something might make people realise why its there
They run road safety adverts in Holland with the adverts, they show a scene, ask a question and then part 2 is shown with the correct answer.

It would be a good idea to make modern versions of the old b&w public info adverts from the 60s and 70s.
Lane hogging, giving trucks plenty of room etc, roundabout use and the like.
At least it would stand a chance of things sticking in the minds of these knobs when they are out on the road.

Ok then, adverts that include an ethnic minority woman ,.a disabled guy, a lesbian, and a trans ■■■■■■…job done. 
There’s just been a ruling adverts showing men washing pots struggling. Women in embarsaaiing situations. Men in embarrassing situations etc are banned
to much gender stereotype casting not allowed no more.
All adverts need to be pc non offense these days .

But these won’t be adverts Edd, these will be informative videos to TRY and educate the dimwits on our roads on how not to kill themselves or others. You won’t have to show any of the brethren of the minority cultures to make it seem even and just by not focusing on one or two minority groups.
All that should be shown is the actual video/film of accidents or stupid activity on the roads to try and deter people from doing them, I would even go as far as to show the aftermath of what happens when some idiot has done something stupid.

This showed regularly on tv would be a good start.
While it’s a subject among many of today’s driving, tv adverts aren’t exactly must sit down audience captivating tv, though some are better than the crap scheduled.
But adverts are kettle on time, put the dog out or some other quick chore.
Something like this needs to be scheduled on all channels at the same time.
Maybe they can make one for the muppets who have rewritten the Highway Code to their own understanding and cover the correct method of joining a motorway, to include coach and truck drivers too.
