New truck - update

I rang Volvo,Scania,Daf & Iveco this week for quotes on new vehicles.All of whom said they would put the quotes (initiall quotes before the options list tweaking) in the post straight away.

I arrive home on fri night and how many quotes were there waiting for me?

You guessed it none.

Volvo was the area salesman based at the Ely dealership
Scania was the area saleman who works from home (near where I live)
Daf was morgan elliot’s in Croydon
iveco was grays trucks guilford.

I can see this turing into a saga so I shall post regular updates as to my progress this being update no.1

The models I’ve asked for quotes on are
Volvo fh12 460 i-shift (there is a software packge that boosts the torque on this model to the same as the 500 in the top 2 gears)
Scania topline
Daf s/s/c 480/530 auto
Iveco stralis 540 auto

You could do me a favour and include a MAN TGA/ERF ECT Oliympic/ XXL 460 Tipmatic in your “examinations” too, That way you’ll cover my preferred options for a new truck if I win the lottery :laughing: :smiley: :unamused: :wink:
