Hate to say it but I agree with the chimp again. Mon to Fri you will be doing more than 45 hours. If not you are being paid 25 notes for 15 hours sat doing nothing.
If you enjoy the job great but tramping lends itself to long hours 70-80+ and always my preference to be hourly paid.
Great if you only do 45 hours but more likely it will be many more or theres no point.
Anyway the proof of the ■■■■■ is in the eating so good luck.
Why the ■■■■ do people have to brag and make it a competition on who’s going to have the biggest wage at the end of the week. give the bloke a pat on the back for doing some foot work and getting himself a job.
It doesn’t matter if he earns peanuts or monkey nuts, at least he’s got a job. at £500 a week that’s £375+ nights out take home.
so whatever you earn at least he can say he’s putting food on his family’s table.
Well,I might have just hit the jackpot. A job I applied for,more in hope than anything really,had the prelim phone call today which went extremely well. 4 on 2 off, very exclusive contract. £30k pa + bens. Fabulous equipment. Loads of ‘downtime’. Keep fingers crossed I get the follow up call for induction. Only 12 guys on it nationwide,hope I can be one of the 12,thought it was dead mans shoes.

where in the southwest are you, are you looking to do tramping? If you want to be home every night and dont mind agency work you could get that and more as take home pay.

Yeah if your tramping you will be using up all driving hours and or working hours, if you aren’t then I’m very jealous

No or under £29.50 not neither is meal allowance
its 500 plus a week,thats your wages,not x amount per hour…if it suits you,then itl be a good job,if it dosent,then wait for another one that does suit you. same as any other tramper,your getting paid for sitting picking your nose as well as driving.dont be listening to the pedantic bean counters with the 1 upmanship attitude to hours. if your happy,then be happy.worry about putting a loaf on your own table,and never mind what anyone else says…works that way for me.

No pension though but I feel I could sort something so feel quite chuffed really so what do you experts reckon then is that a good rate for tramping. Safe journeys all and mind the wallys on the road.
