I hope they have the good sence to put a railhead into the plant . that way they can take some of the freight that will be needed off the roads .

No need they have fantastic links to the continent by sea, it’s Britain’s most inland port.

Stobarts were supposed to be having one put in for the Tesco RDC at Goole but there are a few old unused sidings near the docks where there’s land to build on and there’s a track that feeds the glass factory next to the Tesco RDC.

Are you suggesting that, large quantities, and finished products be delivered by rail, to and from a factory making trains, that’ll never happen…

Guess how the rail, sleepers and bed/ballast is delivered to make the tracks

Allelys will probably open a Goole depot, it’s good news as there are good transport links already.

All thanks to Siemens…a German company investing in GB has to be a good sign, the same as Toyota building their new Prius in the uk…huge investment from both companies…is there something about Brexit we havnt been told.

Well seeing as they will be making trains you would think the ability to put them on to a track for delivery to a UK operator would be a sensible thing - or maybe not .

Hitachi put a rail line into the Aycliffe site, The shells come into Teesport and are collected by GCS Johnson and taken to Aycliffe, once finished they go out on the railway

Thats going to depend on how theyre powered, diesel or electric and whether the infrastructure will be capable of both…

The Gov have said that diesel only trains will be phased out by 2040.
The Gov says lots of things that dont happen, but thats the way it`s going.
