Does anyone know how to access the new tt truck unit to add/edit pois on the old unit all you had to do was plug it in and windows would open it as an external drive. But on the new ones this doesn’t appear to be the case. I thought it maybe a hidden file but that seems a bit pointless. Any ideas?
Tomtom may or may not add this feature with later updates along with other features they forgot to add before sending these units to the stores
My money is on somebody elese beating them to it with a hack to veiw the files,
They didn’t forget they purposely removedthe function about 8-9 months ago that dissabled 3rd party poi should be back in a future update
If anyone discovers the hack let me know. It’s ridiculas you buy a new over priced unit but can transfer my own pois over!
When updating my maps i make my poi into a favourite file then copy it and paste it into the new map.
thats on a go520 with truck on sd card so not sure if it would work on the original proper truck one. to do it you may find it better to open the files in windows rather than tomtom home.
hope that helps a bit.

problem is the new tt truck appears to be “firewalled” so it can only be opened with tt home
The new tomtoms use a linux file system that cant be read by windows, they used to use the older FAT file system.
Should of stuck with an older tomtom, newer aint always better.
does that mean a linux operating system is needed to open them up?

Not to sure on that just remember reading that the new tomtoms use a linux filesystem, try asking on gpsunderground or navitotal, ipmart does not have anything to do with tomtoms now due to the threat of legal action
You have a PM as i wasnt sure about the link
did you find a way around this issue yet
It was a mates unit and he wanted truck friendly pois putting on it but to be honest it seems a lot of effort so no I haven’t got round to it yet.
